Caribbean Dockyard And Engineering Services Limited (CDESL) is a leading Port Facility with Ship/Drilling Rig Repair, Refurbishment, Fabrication, and Engineering Capabilities, ideally located on the Western Coast of Trinidad in the Western Hemisphere. The facility has been operating for over 100 years at this location.

Situated on 26 acres, our company boasts excellent facilities and full professional support to service the needs of any client. Our strategic location affords clients access to natural deep-water berths within our sheltered cove, as well as a Shipyard well-equipped for ship/rig repairs, supported by engineering and fabrication facilities (complete with inside and outside fabrication areas).

CDESL operates as an ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) port, ensuring compliance with international security standards to safeguard vessels, cargo, and personnel. We are also proud to be Lloyd's Register Certified, confirming our adherence to stringent quality, safety, and environmental management systems.

CDESL has a prime waterfront location in a major geographic shipping area, providing marine support facilities that cater to the needs of domestic and international owners who require their vessels/rigs to be dry/wet docked in Trinidad & Tobago. We also offer Marine Transportation Support Services and Supply Shore Base Logistics Services associated with the Energy Sector.

CDESL is an ideally situated port facility with considerable capacity within the Caribbean Sea/Western Hemisphere, providing a full range of services including, but not limited to: • Natural deep-water harbor • Below the hurricane belt • Safe, secured berth space in a protected harbor complemented by:

  • Pier 5 – 182 meters (long) by 18.3 meters (wide) – for above-water maintenance

  • Pier 4 – 122 meters (long) by 18.3 meters (wide) – for above-water maintenance

  • Pier 3 – 80 meters (long) by 18.3 meters (wide) – for berthing services

  • Additional Pier – 150 meters (long) by 10 meters (wide) under planning to commence construction in the last quarter of 2013

  • New 150-metre pier under construction • Full machine shop for any type of machining works with a 15-ton overhead crane • Fabrication welding shop with a 15-ton overhead crane
